In My Fathers House
I photographed some of the girls in my father's house. The family is historically the source of honour and where the meaning of the daughter is born. In these pictures the intermeshing of the objects and the walls of the house with the images of the girls, speaks of transgression and objectness. I handwrite over these images. I use the quotation from the bible (John 14.2) as title of the series.
'In my Father's house are rooms enough; if it was not so, would I have said that I am going to make ready a place for you? And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to be with me, so that you may be where I am.'
